An enthusiastic crowd of ‘ageing rockers’ turned-up to the Village Hall on Saturday to enjoy an evening with local band “A Touch of Blues”. The programme was a mix of rock favourites, featuring some stunning lead guitar work from ‘The Stig’, and more traditional blues numbers, featuring the gravelly tones of our own blues maestro, Prof John.
The band very kindly played the gig in aid of the Village Hall funds and the evening raised an amazing £450 towards the upkeep of the hall and promotion of events for villagers. Everyone there had a great evening, and a huge vote of thanks must go to Julie & the organising committee and, of course, the band members themselves.
